Location: “Grouse Grind” Hiking Trail, Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver, British Columbia
Date: Aug 26, 2009

This steep and mountainous trail is a constant climb of 2,830 stairs over a 2.9 km route. Developed in the early 1980's, “Mother Nature's Stairmaster” climbs to the top of Grouse Mountain, where a large resort offers many activities including zip lines, a restaurant, skiing, helicopter tours, and a good view of downtown Vancouver's skyscrapers. Even during the week, it's a very popular trail, with over 100,000 people hiking it per year.
