It's getting time to head south for the winter, before the first heavy snow storm. Since I have a part-time programming job, I can't work in the US, and therefore can't spend the winter in the Rio Grande Valley (south Texas) as I had hoped. Instead, I've headed to Niagara Falls; there's an RV park on the west side of town that is open year-round. It's a good location for visiting the falls and the Welland Canal and is close to the QEW for trips to Toronto or Kitchener. Although the falls is pretty during the summer, it's even more scenic during the winter, with coloured lights shining nightly and heavy ice coating the trees nearby.
