With my time as camp host running out, I've decided to visit more of the local parks and attractions.

Founded in 1827 by the Hudson's Bay Company (shortly after it merged with the North West Company), Fort Langley played an important part in both the fur trade as well as in the export of local salmon and cranberries. Its strategic location on the Fraser River also served as a gateway to the other inland forts. The reconstructed fort features costumed interpreters, a small blacksmith shop and a cooperage.

Housed in the building formerly used as the Aldergrove Telephone Exchange, the museum features antique telephones, teletypes, switchboards and related equipment, including a working step-by-step mechanical phone switch. Visitors can pick up one of the two telephones, dial the 7-digit number of the other phone, and watch as the call is routed through the equipment.
