August: I left Oakville, Ontario and headed east along the north shore of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River into Quebec. Side trips included Boldt Castle and Montmorency Falls.
September: Continuing east through Quebec to the Gaspé Peninsula, I then headed through New Brunswick into Nova Scotia and up to Cape Breton Island. Side trips included a wind farm, the Percé rock and a whale-watching boat tour.
October: I continued around Cape Breton Island before returning through New Brunswick to Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Side trips included Meat Cove (Nova Scotia's most northerly community), a sailboat cruise on the Great Bras d'Or Lake, an underground mine tour at Glace Bay and a quick trip to Peggy's Cove.
November: After traveling across New York, I returned to Ontario to spend the winter in Milton, after a trip up to Algonquin Park.
May: Leaving Milton, Ontario, I headed to Elliott Lake in Northern Ontario.
June: I spent time on Lake Superior before heading inland, entering Manitoba and visiting Whiteshell Prov. Park, arriving at Winnipeg for the Canada Day celebrations. Side trips included a suspension bridge across a large canyon, an amethyst mine and a railroad museum.
July: After spending a week in Central Manitoba doing photography, I head through Riding Mountain National Park, Saskatchewan's Qu'Aplelle Valley and cross into Alberta. Side trips included Fort Battleford and the West Edmonton Mall.
August: I visited Drumheller and Dinosaur Prov. Park before heading west into the Rocky Mountains, where I visited Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper. Side trips included a tour on the Columbia Icefield to see the Athabaska Glacier.
September: Entering British Columbia, I see Mount Robson (the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies), then head south to Wells Gray Prov. Park. Then it's south through Kamloops and the Okanagan Valley to Osoyoos near the U.S. border. Side trips included the Kettle Valley Rail Trail.
October: Turning west, I headed through E.C. Manning Prov. Park to the Fraser River Valley and Vancouver, before taking the ferry to Vancouver Island. Side trips included sand sculptures at Harrison Springs and Butchart Gardens.
November: Wandering north on Vancouver Island, I take a scenic side trip to Tofino and Ucluelet on the west coast.
December: I take a fast trip up to Port Hardy at the north end of the island before returning to Black Creek for the winter.
February: Leaving Vancouver Island, I head to Fort Langley for a summer job as a campground host.
June: The new Golden Ears Bridge opens to the public.
July: A quick trip to the UBC Botanical garden.
August: I climb Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver.
September: I make several small day trips to various local attractions.
November: I head into the United States for the winter.
December: Leaving Washington, I enter Oregon.
January: I finally reach sunny California.
February: I stay for a month in Bakersfield.
March: Leaving Bakersfield, I head east into the Mojave Desert, then into Arizona to see the Grand Canyon.
April: I head back to Canada through Utah, Idaho and Montana.
May: I head up to Edmonton for a short visit.
June: I head east across the prairies towards Ontario.
July: I head through north-western Ontario.
August: I head to the central parts of northern Ontario, on Highway 11, including a train trip to Moosonee.
September: I head south to New Liskeard for the autumn.
November: With the weather getting colder, I head south to Niagara Falls to spend the winter there.
