Here are some of the more memorable RV trips that I've taken during
my vacation time from work:
Sept. - Oct. 2000: Lake Erie and Lake Huron Shoreline
This was a 27-night trip along the Lake Erie and Lake Huron shorelines,
from Rock Point Provincial Park up to Craigleith Provincial Park.

Sept. - Oct. 2001: Parry Sound and the Loop Around Algonquin
Park
This was a 29-night trip up Highway 69 beyond Parry Sound to Killarney
Provincial Park, then cross-country to Mattawa, where I boarded the
Timber Train to Timiscaming, Quebec for a day trip. From there, I took
Highway 17 east, across the north and east sides of Algonquin Park.

May 2004: Across Canada by Train and Alaska Cruise
Although not an RV camping vacation, this was the best trip that I've
ever taken. For 3 days and nights, I took the VIA Rail train from
Toronto to Vancouver, then boarded a cruise ship to sail up to Alaska,
with stops at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and College
Fjord. From there, I took an inland bus/train tour to Anchorage,
Talkeetna, Denali Nat'l Park and Fairbanks, before flying home. I
did lots of side tours, including a helicopter flight to land on a
glacier.

Aug. - Sept. 2005: Northern Ontario
At 2,955 km, this was the longest single camping trip that I've taken
to date. I spent 22 nights driving Highway 17 west to Pukaskwa
National Park, then east across Highway 101 from Wawa to Highway
11 and home. One of the highlights was an early morning solo canoe
trip at Obatanga Provincial Park on my birthday.

May 2006: Algonquin Provincial Park
I spent 8 nights relaxing at Mew Lake; this was a “get away from
it all” vacation, rather than a “go somewhere
interesting” vacation. I biked on parts of the Railway Bike
Trail, and hiked several other nearby trails, but mostly just sat
around the campsite and tried to unwind.
